With the Missouri River running right through the city and several other bodies of water around the perimeter, Omaha is a great place for outdoor enthusiasts to call home. Fishing and boating are popular activities along the Missouri and Platte Rivers, Glen Cunningham Lake, Carter Lake, and Lake Manawa among many other spots as well.
Omaha also has over 80 miles of paved trails, making it a haven for cyclists, hikers, and runners alike. These trails weave throughout the city and into the surrounding suburbs, providing excellent views at different points and areas to rest along the way.
